Jenneffer, Owner

Jenneffer first became interested in doing hair back in high school when she heard a classmate mention beauty school. At that time, it seemed everyone had a plan for post-secondary education which seemed largely based on what their parents wanted for them. Jenneffer had been given full support from her parents to pursue any career; they said, “Do what you love.” Knowing she had the support she needed and with a love for painting and sketching, she decided to enroll in beauty school and further explore her artistic side.

While in beauty school, the manager of Marc Anthony Hair Salon, was looking for assistants and Jenneffer was chosen to be one. She was an assistant for 4 years and then chosen to be the personal assistant of her mentor, whom she credits for giving her the best training in hairstyling and coloring.

While working at Marc Anthony, Jenneffer got to travel around the world for various different courses in hair. She’s worked on many A list celebrities and has had the opportunity to work at the Toronto Film Festival, appeared on a number of occasions on different shows on Slice TV, Cityline and The Steve Harvey Show.

Jenneffer built a great relationship with Marc Anthony and still holds one today. All the experience and opportunities they provided her with led her to where she is now as the owner of Guti. Being a Hispanic business owner fills her heart with joy as her roots are extremely important to her. She’s a loving and dedicated mother of two, which at times can make being a business owner difficult, but she welcomes the challenge and takes pride in balancing both with tremendous dedication.
